What this site does
Government records are distributed across civil registrars, state eDistrict services, education boards, tax portals, police services and national document platforms. We organise those routes by certificate type and issuer, explain what information is normally required, and link users to the authority that completes the actual search, authentication and PDF download.
The homepage Certificate Finder is a directory tool. It does not query private government databases and does not create, issue, alter or certify records.
What this site does not do
- We do not ask for Aadhaar numbers, OTPs, government passwords or full certificate numbers.
- We do not claim to be a government department or authorised certificate issuer.
- We do not bypass authentication, application review, fees or local registrar procedures.
- We do not sell certificates, edited PDFs or unofficial replacements.
Editorial and source policy
Each guide is built around an official government, issuing-authority or established public document platform. We record the source review date and distinguish downloads from applications, status checks and verification services. When an official portal cannot be reached during review, we do not describe unverified screen labels as current facts.
Government links and workflows change. We periodically test destinations and revise instructions when an authority moves a service, changes a login flow or replaces a portal. A link can remain official even when it is temporarily unavailable, but we remove destinations that cannot be attributed to the issuing authority.
Corrections
If a guide points to the wrong authority, uses an outdated service name or omits an official route, email [email protected]. Include the page URL, issuing authority and the official source that supports the correction. Do not email personal certificate files, identity documents, application numbers or OTPs.
Independent status
Certificate Download is an independent informational website. It is not affiliated with the Government of India, a state government, a municipal registrar, DigiLocker, GST, Udyam, a police department or an education board. Trademarks and service names belong to their respective authorities.
